When do I need to schedule the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?
If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible for a booster dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine after at least two months. Due to the most recent CDC recommendations, Klein’s is no longer offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Moderna vaccine is given in two doses 28 days apart. You are then eligible for a booster after at least five months. If you are age 50+ and/or immunocompromised, you are eligible for a second booster at least four months after the first.
The Pfizer vaccine is given in two doses 21 days apart. You are then eligible for a booster after at least five months. If you are age 50+ and/or immunocompromised, you are eligible for a second booster at least four months after the first.
