COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ
Summit County is among the top ten Ohio counties with the highest number of positive coronavirus cases, but we have the power to lower our ranking on that list. With COVID-19 vaccines now available, we are administering them as directed by Ohio’s Vaccination Program. NOTE: We are providing the vaccine at our pharmacy location at 2015 State Road, Suite A, in Cuyahoga Falls.
As your local pharmacy in Cuyahoga Falls, it’s important to us that we share as much information about the vaccine as possible. Please read through the following coronavirus vaccine FAQ before making any decisions to receive the vaccination.
Who can receive a COVID-19 Vaccine?
We are administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to those ages 12 and up, and the Moderna vaccine to those ages 18 and up.
Where do I go for my vaccine?
We are providing COVID-19 vaccines at our pharmacy location at 2015 State Road, Suite A, in Cuyahoga Falls.
Which coronavirus vaccines can I get at Klein’s Pharmacy?
At this time, we are administering the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for all doses, including first and second boosters for those who are eligible.
Can I get a booster shot at Klein’s Pharmacy?
If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible for a booster dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine after at least two months. Due to the most recent CDC recommendations, Klein’s is no longer offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
If you got the Moderna or Pfizer series you may get either vaccine for a booster at least 5 months after you completed the series, then a second booster 4 months after your 1st booster if you are 50+ and/or immunocompromised.
Is the vaccine safe?
Yes, the COVID-19 vaccine is safe for most people. If you have an underlying medical condition, especially a history of severe allergic reactions, that you think could render the vaccine unsafe, we suggest you consult with your physician or medical provider before setting up an appointment to receive the vaccine.
Is the vaccine effective?
Yes, all of the COVID-19 vaccines are incredibly effective. Based on the type of vaccine, effectiveness can reach up to 95% protection from the virus.
Will I still need to wear a mask after receiving the vaccine?
Yes, even after completing the vaccine sequence, it is still suggested to continue wearing your mask in public, during travel, or when gathering with individuals outside of your household.
What should I expect from the vaccine process at Klein’s Pharmacy?
Please walk into the store and you will be greeted by a team member who will check you in. Please bring your ID, insurance card, and vaccine card if you have it. Once we have checked you in you will be required to fill out a short questionnaire/consent form. After you receive your vaccine, you will be required to wait on site for 15 minutes for observation.
When do I need to schedule the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?
If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible for a booster dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine after at least two months. Due to the most recent CDC recommendations, Klein’s is no longer offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Moderna vaccine is given in two doses 28 days apart. You are then eligible for a booster after at least five months. If you are age 50+ and/or immunocompromised, you are eligible for a second booster at least four months after the first.
The Pfizer vaccine is given in two doses 21 days apart. You are then eligible for a booster after at least five months. If you are age 50+ and/or immunocompromised, you are eligible for a second booster at least four months after the first.
Do I need to make an appointment to receive a COVID-19 booster shot?
No appointments are required for any of the booster shots.
Do I need insurance to get the coronavirus vaccine?
Insurance is not required. However, if you have prescription insurance, we do require you provide your coverage information at the time of registration.
Do I need to be a Klein’s Pharmacy patient to receive the vaccine?
No, you do not need to be a patient at our pharmacy. Our vaccine is available to anyone who meets the eligibility requirements above.
What do I need to bring when I receive my COVID-19 vaccine or booster?
You should bring your insurance card, government-issued photo ID, and if you have one, your COVID-19 vaccination card.
